A 3-String arpeggio sweep that incorporate the 7th degree of the scale. (1, 3, 5, 7 degrees of the scale). Most guitar players use primarily Major and Minor arpeggios that use only 3 degrees of the scale (1, 3, 5). By incorporating the 7th degree of the scale we are able to create melodically complex voicings, and now change the arpeggios to Major7th, Minor7th, and Dominant7th chords. This now also gives one freedom for modulation (the Dom7th can transition as the V chord to the I chord). I used this arpeggio in many of my songs. I show several example of Pyramids on Mars songs where I incorporate this 4 note arpeggio.

Kevin loves Yngwie Malmsteen. He wanted to learn to think like Malmsteen. This meant listening to his influences. Kevin discovered Bach, Vivaldi, and Paganini. Kevin’s goal was to make his guitar sound more like a violin, or harpsichord.
He developed a new style and approach to the instrument.
