“Jesus of New Orleans” released in August 2020. The single CD is a dance hall with incredible funky vibes. The track released with a full production music video, with dance mix and radio edits on the CD. Spann provides lead vocals, piano, keyboards, and bass. Cecil Robbington is on drums and percussion. Likewise, guest musicians and St. Louis native John Covelli on trombone, a long-time friend.
The Bowie project led Spann to Milwaukee-based producer Gary Tanin. Tanin worked with Spann on his first three acclaimed solo album Time, Time, Time, Time, Time, Beautiful Man From Mars, and Propaganda Man. This album recognition led to the stage at the world’s largest music festival, Summerfest, in 2016 and 2017.
