Indie Spotlight – All The Time Everywhere’s ‘Partition’ Pushes Boundaries

Reminiscent of the bands coming out of the Southern Ontario hotbed of many punk and hardcore bands in the ‘90s that also spawned Alexis on Fire, ATTE’s release ‘Partition’ pushes the boundaries with a not so aggressive side of that musical spectrum. Composer Aaron Lavigueur crafted the catchiest of songs with resolute soul, with socially charged lyrics which slams you a minute into the track.

The meaning behind the name All The Time Everywhere is “An ever-present all-seeing force. It’s always on and it’s in everything. It also represents how they want to tour.” The band came out of the Kingston/Napanee, Ontario area and settled in Banff, Alberta to work on sounds and their act in 2019.

They recorded The Long Con EP in 2019. Aaron wrote everything other than co-writing with Evan on two, so far, unreleased tracks. Evan and the other former members (live show not recording) left the band before release.

The press announcement for The Long Con says, “it will feature 6 exceptionally strong tracks that show a radical step forward for Aaron and All The Time Everywhere. Aggressive and in your face music with influences like Alexis On Fire, Architects, Goldfinger, Face To Face, Lagwagon, and The Fullblast will drive the sound of All The Time Everywhere.

The boys set out to produce music that draws influence from some greats of the past and revolves them into a modern fresh music. Catchy lyrics, brilliant gang vocal compositions, and a strong live show captures the audience from the open and never lets them go”.

The musical influences are obvious in every riff and melody, in every technical second, in the perfect combination of insanely hard-hitting guitars and drums that lift the song to a different level.

Aaron moved from Kingston to Banff to reform the band and start touring (COVID 19 had other ideas). They have added 4th member lead guitar player Ryan Pionteck (Hatchet Jack), a long-time friend of Aaron. They played together in his first band 8Ponser, and in his second band Swift Yellow. So Aaron, Terry, Chris, and Ryan are ATTE (members and touring). From 2019 the trio wrote and recorded the makings of the new album, The Long Con.

“This song is a line in the sand. From your personal life to the state of the world, things are changing and it always had to get worse before it gets better. This song is about that.”

You quickly feel an east take with a west coast sound, influenced by the UK and the ska Jamaican music style bands. Aaron handles the writing and music well with an absolutely insane work ethic and resulting in an endless amount of energy when the band performs.

‘Partition’ is the 2nd Single off of the upcoming album release The Long Con. The track starts off almost anthem-like, then a minute in a deeper sense of the message and meaning. The ska influences from American punk/ska band Goldfinger are present.

The song draws a line with outstanding vocals, hard-hitting percussion, and a unique energetic tone to the current state of affairs the world finds itself in.

With this second single release, The Long Con is building into an EP that could achieve lasting popularity and critical acclaim by both peers and fans.
