The blues-rock band Eagles of Death Metal are in the midst of performing their song “Kiss the Devil” at a sold-out show at Le Bataclan in Paris, France, when the venue is attacked by terrorists armed with automatic rifles, grenades and explosive suicide vests – one of many attacks throughout the city.

TLC release their second album, CrazySexyCool, featuring the hits “Creep” and “Waterfalls.” The group’s most successful album, it sells over 10 million copies.

“We Built This City” by Starship hits #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It is later named Worst Song of All Time by Blender magazine.

November 17, 2007 

Twenty-eight years after their last #1 album (The Long Run), the Eagles return to the top spot in America with Long Road Out Of Eden, a double album initially sold only at Walmart for the bargain price of $11.88. The group released the album on their own label, allowing them to keep a hearty chunk of the profits.

Nirvana records an MTV Unplugged concert in New York. The show is shot in one take – imperfections and all – and is aired one month later.
