“Black Dog” is my story. I have a lived experience of mental health challenges as so many do. These ups and downs have led to a deeper understanding of myself, and made me better able to listen and support others. I have had such positive experiences in times of great and not-so-great mental health, from friends, colleagues and managers, and organisations devoted to mental health. The message here is that it’s okay not to be okay. You are seen, heard, and loved, be kind to yourself and to others who may be struggling.
