This song is the last single off of the Morning Silk EP. It was the first song I wrote off of it, and we think it describes the sound of the project best in its initial stages. Matt and I think its a very good intro into Morning Silk. The song is about finding yourself in a complacent situation, realizing that you aren't taking any risks, and that it's not going to take you anywhere if you stay on that path. I finished the song while we were building our studio, "livingrooms." This had a big influence on the overall story of the project, turning this record into something that speaks about picking everything up and moving to a new place, and what its like to start over and build something new. This was all happening to us when we left Providence to go to New York. This story of the EP is told in a medieval setting, where we have to build this castle. It's all just a metaphor for the studio we've been dreaming of since we were in school. After years its finally here for us to record. It comes with some demons though!
